How to make the most of your templates

We know you’re here because you want marketing speed and ease. So, we know you’ll only love these templates as much as your favourite playlist if they’re easy to personalise and quick to complete, right?

Here’s what you need to know:

1. Create a copy

Copy and paste the template content into your preferred word processing software, such as Word, Google Docs, or Pages. In almost all cases, the highlights will carry over, ready for you to personalise. Though, sometimes Word doesn’t want to play along with this!

2. Replace all placeholders

Carefully replace all placeholders (e.g. [First Name] or [your region]) with your email software’s personalisation codes and the details relevant to your business and location.

3. Add local insights

Where prompted, include your unique insights and knowledge about your local area to make the content more authentic and valuable.

4. Use your tone

Adjust the tone and style to match your business’s brand voice. No matter if it’s friendly, professional, or casual, consistency is key with any marketing.

5. Include your experiences

Share personal anecdotes or stories that reflect your own experiences to make the content more engaging and interesting to read.

6. Add images, videos, and links

High-quality images relevant to the topic will really enhance your content, especially blog posts. And if applicable, embed videos or include links to virtual tours or related resources.

7. Make it easy to read

Use simple, clear language to get your message across without waffling. Avoid complex sentences and jargon. Hemingway Editor is a great free tool to help with this.

8. Use subheadings and lists

Break down your content into short paragraphs with subheadings for each key point. Or use bullet points or numbered lists to make the content easy to scan and read.

9. Give clear instructions

Make sure your call to action is obvious and actionable, such as: “Start planning your trip today” or “Reach out for personalised recommendations”

10. Plan and schedule content

Maintain a steady flow by using a content calendar to plan when to send out emails and publish blog posts. And save time by batch writing multiple emails and blogs in one sitting.

11. Track metrics and optimise

Use analytics tools to track the performance of your content and make tweaks based on what works. Look at open rates, click-through rates, and engagement metrics.

12. Stay engaged

Encourage replies to your emails and respond promptly to engage with your audience. Keep your content updated to reflect any changes in your offerings or local area.
